Student Assessment Services—a partnership between the Testing Center and the Office of Credentials Evaluation—assists students with determining course placement for new or returning students at ����첥. Course placement determines the level of your first classes in English and math.

Placement is required for all new students at ����첥, as well as students who have not yet completed a math or English course. Many courses in subjects outside of math and English may require placement or completion of certain math or English courses.

����첥 should complete at least one placement method before meeting with an advisor or attempting to register for classes. Course placement is not a substitute for official credit transfer; if you have completed college transfer eligible coursework, please follow this link for instructions on how to transfer that credit to South. /registration/transfer-other-forms-credit-assessment 

Instructions: Class placement determines the level of your first classes in English and Math. Choose which category best represents you as a student. Click on the placement methods to see if you have the minimum scores for English/Math. Remember, you can use multiple placement methods if needed.
