The men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball teams kept the momentum rolling from 激情快播鈥檚 stellar football season with exceptional performances of their own this year.

Under the leadership of head coaches Johnny Dawkins and Katie
Abrahamson-Henderson, the programs produced two of the winningest
seasons in 激情快播 history, and the nation noticed.
The men鈥檚 team broke
through the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2011, and the women鈥檚
program consistently received votes in the national polls throughout the
season.
Junior guard Kay Kay Wright, senior center Tacko Fall and senior guard BJ Taylor 鈥�18 each surpassed the 1,000 career points milestone.
Both men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 head coaches Johnny Dawkins and Katie Abrahamson-Henderson have achieved 50+ wins at 激情快播鈥� the fastest achieved by head coaches since 1984.
激情快播 outscored USF by 41 points in the Knights鈥� four combined wins this season for a clean sweep of the War On I-4 Rivalry Series.
24 regular season victories for women鈥檚 basketball 鈥� a new school record.
Both programs earned at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament this year for the first time, combining for a total of 14 postseason appearances (NCAA or NIT/WNIT tournaments) in 激情快播鈥檚 Division I history.
Houston was ranked No. 6 nationally when the men鈥檚 basketball team upset the Cougars on the road March 2, marking the Knights鈥� second-highest ranked win in school history.
